Des hommes, un lieu, des objets

Histoire et renaissance du Mémorial de Verdun

Video from the exhibition Les coulisses d’une renaissance (Behind the scenes of a revival – in French).

In the year in which the Verdun Memorial Museum is reopening to the public, this exhibition shows the changes and developments that have occurred in a historic location and place of remembrance from its beginnings to the renovation project marking the centenary of the battle. This is a behind-the-scenes look at the preparations that preceded the extension and redesign of the architecture and museum layout, an entertaining but instructive view of the key stages in the two-year project, the many people involved in it and an insight into their specific professions.

The temporary exhibition is housed on the 2nd floor of the Memorial and has the same opening times as the museum.
