Information for Visitors

Booking

Booking is required for groups only, at least 2 months in advance. No booking is required for individual visitors (fewer than 20 people). See the page, Groups and school groups.

Guided Tours

The visitor trail translated into English and German includes numerous information panels, detailed labels, audiovisual devices and interactive terminals to inform and guide visitors. Guided tours are not available in Verdun Memorial Museum.

Talking

Conditions apply to talking out loud within the Memorial. Only museum curators, teachers with pupils and tourist guides are authorised to talk out loud. Proof of status is required.

Anybody other than curators, teachers or guides who wishe to talk aloud must apply to the Director for authorisation, explaining the reason for the application. The application may be accepted subject to payment of a fee where appropriate.

General visitor information

Animals are not permitted within the museum (except for guide dogs for the blind or service dogs).
Photography is permitted without a flash.
The use of selfie sticks is not permitted.

Information for school groups
Schoolbags and backpacks are not allowed within the Memorial.
Only pencils may be used during the visit (no pens, felt-tips, crayons etc.).
